On December 2009, just after Christmas, I went to a cinema in one of the shopping mall in Kota Kinabalu. Me and my friends were planning to watch the biggest movie of the year ‘ Avatar’. As expected, it was crowded and we were lucky not to get the neck bending seat right at the front. We managed to get seats that were okay even though I thought it was a bit too close to the screen which made everything moved so fast.
The movie was after all not disappointing and worth our time watching it. Only a few glitch of course especially when they suddenly changed the Na’vi subtitles into Malay which was a bit confusing and funny. It was also annoying as they put some words into short term as if I was reading a confusing short text message.
To make things worst, right in front of us was a family of 4, the parents and a pair of twins babies which could have been less than a year old. At the other side, another couple with a probably 2 or 3 years old child screaming and whining around. Lucky for us that the audio was loud enough to compensate the extra sound effect around us.
However, what were these parents thinking guys? Don’t they ever realized they should not bring along kids let alone infants into the cinema? They must have no idea on how such loud noises can affect their children. They must have never think about the flashing lights that can damage the babies sight. I bet they want the kids to grow up with eye problem or even worst, hearing problems. I thought it was really inappropriate to take such a young kids to the cinema. Don’t you think so too? Maybe they were so desperate to go out and enjoy a movie but there is no harm being reasonable right. Grown up kids I don’t mind, they can enjoy the movie at least. But these a toddlers! How are they supposed to understand the movie let alone watch it?
They should at least leave their kids to someone to babysit them while they can go out and watch any movies they want. Or they could have just waited until the home DVD is out so they can watch together at home without disturbing others or damaging their kids senses.
Hi guys, roaaarrrr…it’s the year of tiger (not Woods). So for the sake of having fun, I have been surfing on the net to get the best horoscope for all of the Chinese zodiacs and actually I couldn’t really understand what are these people trying to tell me. Anyway, I did try to interpret all of their words which had given me a headache worst than the hangover I had few days earlier. 12 signs guys. From the Rat to the Pig, it seems that our life has been seen earlier by all of these experts. That is scary. However, don’t take it that I have no belief in these stuff, I do! In a way that it all would help me in every way it should. Not as a prediction but as an eye opener and ideas for brain storming. So here goes the prediction for each sign. Enjoy.
The Rat
Sorry rat people but the year 2010 predicted to be an average year for you, nothing grand really(seriously). You might even be suffering from melancholy from time to time, please be prepared to make appointments with your psychiatrist or head to the nearest pub. However, the good news is the positioning of the planets in 2010 will benefit the rats and they will most definitely be more self-confident, and be more innovative than before, great huh. For the lonely rats, get a life! Go out and find someone for yourself now. You will definitely find a lover within the year. There are thousands and hundreds of people out there looking for a rat to cuddle. For the married rats, the year will be filled with romantic joy. Time to rejoice in the warmth of love, rats! Go rats!!
The ox
Beware of the dragons and the horses, conflicts might happen and you might end up being burnt or stampede by them. Please make wise judgment and keep your head open to avoid any of these conflicts. A good year for you to learn a new language, so, if you have always wanted to pick up a new language before traveling, 2010 would definitely be the best year. Go buy those dictionaries or whatever they call it. Career-wise, those born in the year of the Ox should be aware that in 2010, your working attitude will be slightly lackadaisical( is this even a word) and without much buoyed enthusiasm, in an easy explanation, you are going to be lazy guys. Put in effort to change the attitude. Come on, last year was your year oxies!
The Tiger
The experts surprisingly predicted that the Tigers will face a surprisingly average year with little ups and downs. I wish I could explain more but yes that was their saying. Even though everything will seem to be at your advantage this year, you will find it terribly difficult to find the encouragement and willpower to perform at your very best(ouch). Find the encouragement within yourself or you might be faced with plenty of disappointments, sounds like the other Tiger to me. 2010 will provide a healthy backdrop for you, for those suffering digestive problems, go to doctor guys. However, you will most likely find that situations for you will improve. Roarrr…
The Rabbit
Unfortunately for the Rabbits, 2010 will possibly be a bad year for those who were born in the year of the Rabbit. You will have to work hard to achieve some good in terms of your career, health and love life. This really sounds like reality to me. Rabbits should look towards philosophy and religion to find some good in the upcoming year. So please read a lot of books and do some prayers. Be prudent, thrifty and stay on the lookout for signs of a business scam, your finances could prove to be a problem this upcoming year. But worry not rabbit, you will leap over it if you keep your head up high.
The Dragon
For those born in the year of the Dragon, it is time for you to apply into some form of school or undertake some courses! Studying in the upcoming year will bring you a considerable amount of success. While you might find yourself getting into some minor conflicts, it is essential for you to stay positive. Your ability to stay positive will lead to a happier and more successful year ahead. It might also be a rocky year ahead for you if you are in a relationship, remember, stay positive and lend a listening ear and you will stay happy.
The Snake
Those born in the year of the Snake are known to be very stubborn. Keep your stubbornness in check; learn to control it and you will find many successes coming towards you in the upcoming year. While it is important to have dreams, try to keep a level-headed mind for the upcoming year or you might end up straying away from reality. Once you’ve kept a level-headed mind, you will find yourself in favorable opportunities in your career, make sure you grab them
The Horse
Good news for the horses! Year 2010 might be one of the smoothest years for you. You will find bonds between your friends and relatives being built fairly easily. Keep a clear head when making decisions for you will find that plenty of decisions may sound familiar to one another but with very different outcomes. You may also tend to overfeed yourself in the upcoming year so be sure to keep on a healthy diet and exercise regularly.
The Goat
Those born in the year of the Goat will find plenty of wealth opportunities coming their way in 2010. You may end up passing up on a lot of them and making several bad decisions early on in the trimester but it is crucial for you to stay positive and not be disheartened by your losses for more opportunities will be coming for you later in the year. Stay on your feet, be in the company of your loved ones and develop more personal relationships and you will find that the upcoming year might just be your best year yet.
The Monkey
This is my year and it better be good!! It is essential for the monkey to not be overly emotional in 2010. You will find that not everything will go your way initially. While you might lose some close friends(nooooo), you have to maintain mental stability to save the broken pieces of the relationship. However, 2010 will provide business opportunities for you. That’s why I decided to sell all my bananas this time. Lol. It is the year for you to take risks. Take the risks and you will be rewarded tremendously. Do not rest on your laurels and expect things to happen! Not so bad after all even though a bit confusing for a monkey brain like me.
The Rooster
2010 will be a year of competition for those born in the year of the rooster which sounds better than cock fight. In your career, you will face plenty of competition to get up onto a higher rung of the ladder in your company. If you are unattached, you will find competition for someone that you are interested in. Be prepared to walk like a proud rooster and show off that mating dance. Make well-thought out decisions and do not make rash decision. Adopt a positive and hardworking attitude and 2010 might just be a good year for you. So much for the early bird who got the early worms huh.
The Dog
Woof, woof!! There will be ups and downs for the dog in the year 2010 as dogs are meant to run and jump around the compound. In your career, your lack of respect towards authority might prove to be a downfall for you. Stop barking for no reason and start to listen. Your quest for independence will lead to you having some problems in your love life as well. Anyway, which dog can last by living alone? It is ultimately crucial for you to tone down your brash attitude to find some good in the upcoming year or 2010 will prove to be a year of loneliness for you. Stay friendly! Follow the Labrador.
The Pig
You have to learn to put off your sentimental ways to find some unexpected successes in your line of work and your love life for 2010. The alignment of the stars will bring you utmost luck for the coming year so expect some monetary windfall coming your way. Just the way it is for the pigs. You are suggested to stay away from carbonated drinks in the upcoming year for you will be vulnerable and open to intestinal and digestive problems(Beer excluded). So I hope you did have some of those soda before the clock hit 12 midnight on New Year’s eve. However, besides that, 2010 might prove to be a healthy year ahead for you providing you do some exercise of course.
I’m back after almost few weeks of not having time to update my blogs due to the festive month we were all having. It has been a good year and this year should be better. Career wise, even though it was a bit like the tidal phenomenon, still nothing to be regretted. Honestly, I have a feeling that 2010 is going to be a good year for me in many ways. After all the party and sleepless nights, I actually kicked off the year by teaching Advanced Open Water Course. How great is that? Personally, I find it very interesting to start gaining income on the first day of a year. It gives me a great expectation. It promises me a great year , waiting ahead of me.
The year 2009 was not a bad year at all, though I didn’t get to do some traveling due to working extra months in Layang-Layang Island.I have ended the year with almost no major problems and managed to settle some. I have made new friends, I have rekindled with long lost friends, I have strengthened my ties with current friends, and most of all, 2009 was the year I finally got a chance to see almost all of my family members, plus the newest members of the family tree. The branches has gotten more now.
However, a year without difficulties is a fantasy and too good to be true. I bet everyone wishes to have such a year right? Who wouldn’t. But without problems, ones will never learn to find solutions. Without problems, there would be no dreams, no goals, no desires, how dull would life be.
Therefore, I wish everyone a very happy new year and have a great year of the tiger. Leap into the new year with stealthy and agility. Sneak into your goals and when you grasped it, roar your victory with proud.
Pay per click advertising or ppc is the most popular way to earn money through a blog site. An advertiser can be a person or a company. Advertiser creates an ad for a search engines to display for him/her. Major search engines such as Google.com and Yahoo.com will place the ad on a website in this case your blog site.
You as a blogger need to allow search engine to put their ads on your site. The ads placement will be anywhere within your page. The aim is for visitors to notice the ads displayed and click on them to redirect them to the advertiser’s site.
Now take a note, each time a visitor clicks on any ads diplayed on your page, you get paid! The more visitors click on those ads, the more you will get paid by advertisers. Depending on the advertisers bid, one single click will pay you up to $10 per click. So 10 clicks on that particular ad, you get $100. Sounds like easy money right? It is actually a very simple concept. You can start blogging to earn money straight away.
There is one very important factor that you must maintain and improve. Traffics or visitors are the main key for you to be able to make money with blogs through ppc. Without visitors, you have no clicks. Without clicks, you get no money. This is where you need to put efforts. Serious efforts.
One basic way to generate more visitors is to get a higher search engine ranking. To achieve this you need to update your blog regularly. Fresh content at least once a day will boost up your rank. Higher rank sites attract more visitors to those sites. Contents with less competitive keywords may help your site to climb up search engine thus drawing more attention from visitors to your site.
It is very important here to be patient. It takes time to finally see the changes. You have to keep moving to achieve your goal. In a mean time, start looking for additional techniques to build more traffic. Do not stop and keep improvising. Most importantly, do not give up. There are more ways to learn on the web to help you whether they are free or will need your investment.
On the recent post, I have shared bits of the training with you. On this one, I will uncover more about the training but not the whole thing. I only share with you the skills I find really useful and at the same time a mandatory to master with.
Okay, so your instructor will teach you how to breath from the regulator. In the open water scuba diving course, the number one priority is to make sure a student can handle and maybe solve a problem no matter how small it is. These skills will help you a lot everytime you make a dive. These competency will also give your instructor better credibility unless you want him or her out of business.
So here are some of the most critical parts of open water training which will determine whether you are up for it or not. Number one and main factor of failure is the diving mask removal and clearing mastery. We, you and I are humans. We are not meant to breath in water. The moment water gets into our throat forcefully or accidentally, the brain reaction is to tell you to stop breathing, after a minute or more the brain experience oxygen starvation and eventually shut off the system temporarily, the main factor of drowning.
Mastering masks skills are so important they were placed in the first few parts of your training. Not towards the end. As you know, while scuba diving, your environment is no longer on your side. Without a proper technique to manipulate and adapting to it, you will meet trouble. Water will always try to sip into any empty spaces such as your diving masks. If you can think of any way to permanently prevent this without spending on another hi-tech and expensive full face dive masks, please share with me.
I found out that many of us have issues with the sea water sipping into our dive masks. It is not a comfortable to think that you might breathe water in through your nose. At some point it can triggers the fear of drowning which always resulted panic and inability to think rationally.
The best way to overcome this problem is get familiar with the diving masks. You can start by doing some snorkeling and swimming, preferably in the sea. Most of the time, your instructor will give you some tips as well during the course but it is best to have experience it first than to discover you can’t complete your open water course just because you can’t perform masks involving skills underwater.
